:P I did, a couple of weeks back, they're showing it here on HBO only now. lol i don't hate anyone yet, I love Arya, Robb, Sansa, Dany, Tyrion and Drogo (lolol).
I'll read the books as soon as I finish watching the first season, i've heard they're great. i'm just scared that once i start reading i'll want to read all of it and it'll ruin S2 (and the next seasons, i know there will be) for me... i'm a book purist and it's always disappointing when i read the book(s) first cuz the show/movie based on it usually finds a way to fuck things up!

The show stays surprisingly faithful to the books, and what's more, they manage to add things in s1 that will come up later in the books so that TV-audiences only will be able to see where the plot is going without being spoiled. The casting choices are truly perfect too.

i've heard that it follows the books very closely, a lot of the dialogue is straight from the books too, right? i'll be able to comment on the casting choices only when i've read the books, but they're all pretty lol.

lolololololol omg please don't read spoilers. It could seriously ruin everything for you (it's happened with someone in my flist before). trust me on this :P

ok not reading. but i'll have to go home and start downloading all the episodes now, i cannot wait for the weekend. i do know that something huge and terrible happens near the end of the season, i remember seeing a lot CRYING gifs on my f-list. :S
