So I glanced through the leaked script for Eclipse. Yes, I gave in. Slap me someone. I downloaded it, then deleted it, then downloaded it again. Then I couldnt resist reading it. I had to know the extent of the FAIL.
I always knew shipping JB would only cause me heartfail. But what Summit and MR are doing to us is horrid, we've already been stabbed (thank you, Stephanie Meyer), why twist the knife?
They ruined the ending of NM, and now they've done the same to Eclipse, Ethics, was gutwrenchingly good, I wept like a baby when I read that chapter, its so rushed in the script that it just doesnt have the same impact. Its CRIMINAL what she's done to that bit. *goes looking for her bazooka*
I didnt get my favourite bit in NM. The palm kiss. I dealt with it. But no wolf-kiss is Eclipse. Arghh! *major rage fit*
Most the quote-worthy lines from the book are missing. And are obviously replaced with MR's cringe-worthy words.
I havent read through the EB parts, I want to stay sane, thankyouverymuch. But I know, I just know that Im going to hurl everytime Edward utters some gooey shit and Bella acts all dazzled and retarded.
And Ive read enough of the script to know that MR has very cleverly made E look better than he was in Eclipse. He was possesive, controlling, manipulative, in short, a jerk, in Eclipse, but all of this has been grossly downplayed in the script, most of it omitted. Its an inaccurate and unfair portrayl of the books. But I knew this would happen.
There are a few good things in the script, Jacob Thunder Black is awesome as usual. Lets face it - Im hotter than you. Bwahaha, you go Jake. There's some cute pack stuff. Leah. Rosalie. And THE KISS. *flails forever* UGH, IT WAS SO GOOD I CRIED!! And JB's alternate life on WIN! Choose that Bella, you stupid bitch!
Ugh, but these movies are making me hate Bella, in the books, I still felt for her, in the movies, I cannot find it in me to sympathise with her.
And thanks to MR, of course she loves Jacob, swoons at his kisses, dreams of having his babies, growing old, living a real, happy life, but all of that can go to hell, cuz she wants eternity and perfection, sparklepants and demon baby.
I cannot take this fuckery. Its even hopeless to hope that Kristen and Taylor will save JB somewhat, but there's only so much one can do with a bad script.
