This weekend I finally found a car. I spent most of Friday looking -in between fighting with my dad and Janet- and around 3 in the afternoon I went and looked at a '93 Nissan Altima. It sounded too good to be true, but I went anyway. It was dark blueish-green, a manual, with only 115,000 miles, a fairly straight body, few dents, but it was pretty clean inside and drove like a dream. I called my dad and told him I'd found my car, and within a few hours, it was mine! I can't explain what a weight it is to not have to worry anymore. Oh! And the best part is that it was only $2,900, and we talked him down to $2,700! Since the check I'm getting from my grandpa is for about $2,600, the car cost me about $100. Wow. I know it's going to need some work, it is an older car and the tires are pretty worn, but I'm siked. Even Dustin seems to like it a bit :)
Anyway, I'm in the middle of doing homework right now. I have to write a review on a book of short stories that was published on a small press. I'm doing mine on How the Dead Live by Alvin Greenberg. He's Jewish and most of his stories are more about living than about death. It's a pretty great book actually.
I did take a little break today though. I bought a new mouse for my computer. My old one got thrown out the window, piece of crap. This new one's pretty great. I got myself a couple other things too... a scarf and gloves. I only got the scarf because it was super soft and super cheap [$7!], and I've been wanting some gloves that have some grip on them for driving. These one's are really nice so I'm siked. Well, it's time to get back.
