There will be a second round of claiming. This means that another Claims Post featuring all the art work will be put up so a second Author can claim a piece of art and write a story for it. We will be opening the post at 11 AM PST tomorrow, May 6.
Here is a time converter for your convenience.
For the first 4 hours, this post will be open to claims by authors who signed up for the challenge but did not successfully claim any art in the first round of Claims. If an Author has already claimed a piece of art, they may not participate in this second round of claims until 4 hours have passed. Authors who haven't claimed and can't make it to the claims post during that 4 hour window may use a proxy. Authors may not forfeit any art that they have already claimed in order to pick a different one from this post.
This post will become open to Authors who wish to claim a SECOND piece of art at 3 PM PST May 6, 2012.
Once again, the Claims process will be first come, first serve. We make no guarantee to the Artists that their art will be claimed more than once, and we make no guarantees that Authors will get their first, second, or fifth choice in this round.
Schedule:
Sunday, May 6: Second round of claims open
Saturday, May 12th: The Big Reveal of Artist/Author Matchups
Friday, June 8th: Author Check in
Friday, June 22nd: Author Check in
Sunday, July 1st: Stories due
Sunday, July 8th: Posting Schedule goes up
Sunday, July 15th: Posting begins
A Second Claim:
Artists: If you would prefer your art not be put up for a second claim, please comment to this post with your art piece number(s) from the first post
here & suggested pairing(s) if any. We will remove your pieces from the second claims post. If an artist doesn't comment to this post, it will be assumed they are okay with second claims.
Authors: If you are interested in claiming a second peice of art to write for, please bear in mind that posting will begin in mid-July and schedule accordingly. Consider your own writing habits as well as any upcoming events (exams, travel, etc) that may make writing two 3,000+ word stories unmanageable. This is doubly true if you are currently signed up to be an artist in this challenge as well. If you don't think you can feasibly commit to writing two stories within the given timeframe, please refrain from claiming a second piece and possibly disappointing one or both your artists.
Pinch-Hitting:
A sign up post for Pinch-Hitters (people who volunteer to write a story after someone drops out) will be posted to the community after Claims are all finished.
If you have any questions, please comment to this entry.
