PR people/spokespeople need to put the "person" back in "spokesperson." Honestly. Try to be a little less robotic?
I want to be able to characterize people like Chaucer does in The Canterbury Tales. I suspect I would love him just as much even if I'd never seen Paul Bettany's take on him.
My English teacher is funny. I want him to read to us more in Middle English with great expression, and to (no joke) bring his guitar to class again and perform Shakespearean sonnets in country, jazz, and rock genres.
I just must face it. Using my digital recorder to ensure I get my interviewees' quotes down is simply not a good use of time. It takes too long to transcribe, and not all of the quotage is even that helpful. I think I need to become a Master Notetaker.
I met a boy yesterday on the elevator who told me later at supper that, "There's something very intriguing about you. I haven't figured out what it is yet." ... He looked at me for approximately 1.5-2 seconds when the elevator door slid open before greeting me warmly. I ignored him, thinking he mistook me for someone else, but - he's just very friendly. Somehow I wound up agreeing to meet him for breakfast tomorrow. *slap forehead* Perhaps I won't seem as intriguing in the morning.
We had one day of sunshine.
I may or may not soon have the need to buy my first little black dress. 'Twould be an expense, but I rather hope the event in question is fancy enough to warrant it.
