You know, I've wondered if this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR8D1gMmuko was really ever floating around on YouTube somewhere, only I had no clue how to search for it. Imagine my surprise when I simply type in "reading rainbow," looking for a rendition of the theme song for a friend, and this clip pops up on the first page - described as "probably the most loved segment in the entire series."
There was a lot to love about Reading Rainbow, but I never loved or remembered any of it as fondly as that. In the comments to the video, one person recalls that it cracked them up as a kid. Not me. That dance sequence had me, hook, line and sinker. I'm pretty sure my mouth gaped open a little at all that coolness. It really was a lot to take in. I remember thinking the firefighting segment was especially cool.
I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. Teamwork! Dreamwork! You've got a dream, you're gonna make it real... whatever you do...
LeVar Burton, wherever you are at this moment, I hope you are a happy, fulfilled man.
