I haven't quite figured out why Bush was re-elected and I doubt I ever will. In the past four years he has ruined our economy, put thousands out of work, given tax breaks to those only don't need them as much, changed health care laws to hurt people instead of help them, and that's just the beginning of what he did. In four years he has seemed to of done a lot of wrong. But my main problem with Bush is that he seems to want to throw everything our founding father's wrote in the Constitution.

Separation of Church and State is possibly one of the most important part in the basis of our country. Bush thinks that with his power over this country, which isn't that tremendous, he can throw away anything he wants. After a DUI, skipping out on serving his country, and lost drivers and mililtary records you would think that the people of the US would realize he lies, cheats, and uses his daddy's name to get what he wants. He must tell himself because of that he can contemplate banning Gay and Lesbian marriages because the Bible says Gay's are wrong. Maybe he should read the Bible a bit more carefully next time. The Bible says only men with men is wrong, not women with women. So if he's going to ban Same-Sex marriages just ban Gay marriages, because *gasp* the Bible says it's wrong. The Bible, a book written, long before any book can tell you about.

When the Bible was written, the Church controlled everything. They were money hungry bastards who made people pay money for forgiveness. And the citizens back then bought that. Since then people have wisened up a bit. I don't believe in God and that probably influences my reasons why the Federal Marriage Amendment should be thrown out instead of Separation of Church and State.

Does anyone remember that law that prevents prayer and teaching one particular religion in public schools? I remember that and without it I would be digging my eyes in school. If Bush decides that we should forget Separation of Church and State there will be Jewish, Atheists, Pagans, and people from every religious affilation -minus, of course, Christians- learning something completly different than their beliefs.

I love this country and I always will but I don't want our basis thrown out the window.

Oh and one last thing about Cheney. How can he support the Federal Marriage Amendment when his daughter is lesbian?
Please read this and tell me if I should submit it to the Underground Action Alliance's Zine
