It surprises how often I referred to moving to Chicago "one day" and that it actually happened. Ever since I visited the city for the first time, over 4 years ago, I knew this was where I'd end up. And now that I've made it happen, I'm working on keeping it that way.

I've just wrapped up two temporary jobs in the city. The first as a tax processor at Ernst & Young and the second as an intern for CCC Information Services. Getting both jobs so quick and in succession made time fly by. I can't believe we're into November already and that Thanksgiving is on its way. I'm so excited to see family, especially mom and dad. Their support since I've officially left the nest has been enlightening. I truly wish that everyone could be as blessed as me to have such wonderful people as their parents.

This week I have been taking time to apply for jobs and sign up for more recruiting agencies. I received a call today about potentially starting another job on Monday for Depaul University. It would be another administrative position, probably dealing with data entry, but it's long term and can really help me start to get out on my own. We'll see what happens.

On a lighter note, I've come to realize that I feel a lot better when I've had a cup of coffee to start my day. I guess I am my mother's daughter.
