So more news on the recall. I open up my AOL news this morning and I see yet another recall from DiamlerChrysler. The thing that caught my attention was that the problem is exactly the same. Here are the scary facts:

I heard a story about that last night. It happened to a family with three young children and the wife was pregnant (they were all in the car). The car went into a death roll but everyone survived. The wife's neck was broken and hospital bills sent them in to bankruptcy, but chrysler wouldn't take responsibility. Then they started recalls. The news story said this happening is really rare, they just happened to be really unlucky. :-(

Yeah.. That is such a tragic story.

Doesn't it always seem to happen to the family with 3 kids and the pregnant wife? You dont ussually hear the horror of the single guy driving home from work. Someone brought this to my attention earlier today when I was discussing this news story you pointed out.

It is sad that the car companies wont initiate a recall until they decided their risk to get sued is too high.

It is sad. A lot of people just don't seem to care anymore. There are still lots that do care and that are great people... I'm just getting disillusioned.

OK.. so a "the wheels might fall of your car" issue is right up with "your car might burst into flames". You should probably have that looked at pretty soon. Until then... turn your radio up loud so you don't hear the scary noises... Haha. :-)

I have an appointment on Monday to get it fixed.

That is pretty quick. I just have to survive the weekend with my tires still attached. Maybe I will keep the driving to a minimum.

1999 Dodge Durango Lower Ball Joint broke anonymous June 27 2006, 20:04:43 UTC

June 16, 2006 my 1999 Dodge Durango squeaked its way to a broken lower driver side ball joint . My Dodge driver side fender is sitting on top of my wheel on the driveway. They refuse to help. I have had upper and lower ball joint problems since 1999 when the vehicle was first purchased.

Is there any help out there. I have spend a fortune on this vehicle. I am a one owner vehicle.
