Are you familiar with Love Actually? Specifically the scene where Mark (Andrew Lincoln) declares his undying love for Juliet (Kiera sodding Knightly)...no? Mark comes to the crashing realisation that he's made his wondrous, all encompassing, not-to-be-taken-back statement of affection for Juliet and she doesn't return his feelings. He's crushed. He walks away and tells himself, "Enough. Enough now."
I've always pictured myself as Sarah (Laura Linney): pining for the ridiculously good looking man that's close (so close) and yet so far. But I'm not that kinda girl. I'm not about to dedicate myself to my psychologically damaged brother. (My brother is just fine and I'm sure he'd be fully supportive of me choosing Rodrigo Santoro over caring for him - that's the kinda guy he is).
I'm Mark. I'm the loser best friend that doesn't know when it's time to stop loving the person that doesn't love you back. Until tonight.
Enough. Enough now.
