Maybe we could both investigate new and exciting ingredients at the same time. I keep meaning to, but then I'm tired and there are already sausages in the fridge.

Oh and cooking in general is easy...it's all about trial and error - mix a few ingredients together (any really) that you think may work and if they don't modify and repeat :) When I mean any ingredients I mean anything, a guy I knew once mixed rice krispies, ketchup and bread and found that it worked really well as a sandwich.
