A part-time technician (read: projectionist) job has opened up at work and I've applied for it. I hope I get it. Failing that, I hope Sam gets it. Failing that, I guess Bert is next on my list. but I'd rather I got it; I think I'm moving past the "I just got this job 'cause I don't know what else to do" stage and now I want if not more responsibility, at least more of a challenge. And, it's kind of a real job. Like an actual proper this is what I do for a living job. I think I'm ready for that. You know, as long as it's something fun. I'm still not and quite possibly never will be ready for an office with shirts and ties.
I was tidying my room a few days back and my copy of the 3.5 Player's Handbook was on the floor. Putting it back on the shelf was a surprisingly sad experience, as I knew my copy of the fourth edition version was on its way (arrived yesterday) and it's unlikely I'll play 3.5 again.
So yeah, my copies of the Dungeons and Dragons Fourth Edition Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide arrived yesterday in a heavy parcel from Amazon. Today I statted an Eladrin Rogue. I have decided that of the new races (Eladrin, Tiefling and Dragon-Born) Eladrin are the coolest. I like that they teleport. The other two both have big attacky racial powers which I guess is useful in combat, but Eladrin can teleport. Or, rather, Fey Step. Which I imagine looks kind of like Nightcrawler in X-Men 2.
Oh! Spore Creature Creator. This is awesome. Go download it now. Google it; I am too filled with excitement to provide a link. It was made by the people who made the Sims, except this is good. You create creatures. I have not yet made a giant penis creature or anything that should be crude but is actually fun like that but I think I might have to before I go to bed tonight. In fact, I'll do it now. Then I'm going to watch Monsters, Inc. 'cause at Changeling tonight there was much discussion of fun Disney films and Monsters, Inc. combines with Spore to create relevant awesome.
