We are okay in the misguided sadist way

I am really looking forward to next week's film releases. Smart People and Charlie Bartlett both look like the slightly odd sort of awesome that not many people are going to go see. My favourite sort of awesome. As much as I can see the practical side of my films being massively popular, I quite like knowing I'm in the minority when it comes to liking good films. It gives me that inflated ego feeling.

This week I am going to see Speed Racer in digital tomorrow, which I expect to be kinda rubbish but oh man it is so pretty, and Doomsday on thursday, which I expect to be kinda rubbish but oh man it is Mad Max meets 28 Days Later so how can you go wrong?

Oh, and also, Unknown Armies. I'm going to be running three one-shots, one at each level of play. I've got the street level game mostly planned out in my head and Grant and Mary genned their characters for it this evening. Both reasonably normal people. The three games were originally going to be wholly unconnected but they both want to stick with their same characters and now I'm interested in seeing the reasonably normal become godlike fuck-ups. With Chris, Harriet and James playing as well, this will be the largest game I've ever run and I am looking forward to it muchly.
