I am painfully full. Adrian and I just had the best takeaway ever. A delacassa pizza with pepperoni, chicken, fresh garlic and a bbq base. And they had the good chips. And I still got some donuts. And best of all: normally coleslaw comes as part of the deal, and we never eat it. When I phoned up this evening they were all "sorry dude, we're out of coleslaw. Would garlic bread be okay?" Hells yes delecassa peoples, I am all about the garlic bread.
We watched Louis Theroux meets "The most hated family in America", a documentary about journalist Louis Theroux meeting the Phelps, the severely homophobic family who picket funerals of dead soldiers in America. I was left feeling really sorry for the Phelps children, who have this horrid viewpoint thrust upon them, and they don't even really understand it.
I'm reading A Hunger Like Fire at the moment, the first role playing game fiction I've ever bought. It's written by Greg Stolze, one of the dudes behind Unknown Armies. It's good. It'd be perfectly within the confines of the setting to do angst filled Anne Rice style vampires, but these aren't that. These are just guys who died and that really fucked 'em up.
On a similar theme, new season of Doctor Who started yesterday with space rhinos hunting a vampire on the moon. David Tennant was awesome as ever, and I'm willing to give the new girl a second chance to prove herself (but please, I don't want another dysfunctional family running the show) but I was kinda let down by everyone and everything else in this first episode. Nothing majorly so, but the combination of lots of little bad things left me feeling unimpressed.
I am so full.
