For the faint of heart, a new start

Alright, go team Keyes.

We're moved in. I'm going to have breakfast in a little bit then I'm going to look at how much space would be left in my room if I assembled my wardrobe. It's a smaller room than the last house. Bed and desk go the whole width of the room and I'm hoping if I put the wardrobe behind the door it'll leave me with just enough chair area for when I'm sitting at the computer. Was going to leave the wardrobe for a while and just live out of a suitcase, but that's looking less and less like a good idea.

Oh and yes, you did read that right. Bed and desk. I have totally assembled that bed I bought last october and did nothing with. And I've even slept on it for two nights without it falling apart.

Jeremy came over to see the new place after work yesterday and he helped us rearrange the living room so now all the furniture is successfully pointed at the DVD monitor. Xbox screen. I don't know what to call it. I keep saying "the TV" but it's not a TV, it's just a big monitor hooked up to the Xbox - and soon Blu-ray player as well - for gaming and films. Speaking of which, the Xbox is now connected to the internet so I can get on live. Apparently I get a month free trial, which is pretty cool, but the name Novander has already been taken so I need to think of a gamertag. Current thoughts are either FaintestSnow, after the Jimmy Eat World lyrics this journal's title also comes from, or possibly iamnovander because I am Novander. Other suggestions welcome. NotActuallyTodd maybe. Though probably not.

What else? Yes! Birthday. I've got one of those coming up. It's my 25th which should be an important one but I'm not feeling so psyched for it this year. This year it's just a thing that's happening and that evening I'll get drunk or something, and then the weekend after I'll get drunk again. Or. Or! Or we could have a fucking sweet barbecue in our fucking awesome barbecue garden with our pretty cool garden furniture and our secondary barbecue fridge. I would marinade everything. Burgers left overnight in Sweet chilli and sticky barbecue sauces. Piri chicken. Sausages that... well, maybe I wouldn't do anything to sausages. They taste pretty awesome already.

Gonna flash some cash on Amazon now.
