Dear Suzanne Collins:
Could you, you know, stop having your characters have
Crowning Moments of Awesome?
Actually, no, don't. But seriously, I think I'm in lesbians with...pretty much all of the tributes (even if Johanna is a bitch - actually, no. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE Johanna's a bitch) and probably all of the characters who aren't Capitol henchmen. And I did not know until tonight that one YA hardcover could contain quite that much awesome.
Highlights so far (almost done): Johanna on the beach saying "Fuck tha police Capitol." Peeta's interpretation of Rue's final moments from The Hunger Games. Cinna setting a motherfucking wedding dress on fire. Seneca fucking Crane.
...personally, I was partial to the wedding gown, mostly because - seriously - I was totes not expecting some gay dude fashion designer from the Capitol to give Snow the middle finger like that.
Meanwhile, in non-Hunger Games-related news:
1) I still need to get caught up on A Song of Ice And Fire, and watch "Game of Thrones." Urgh.
2) ...but the latter may have to wait until I get my laptop back from Toshiba, since about a week and a half ago, the hard drive decided to break itself. Fortunately, it was still under warranty - but I have to send it back to the manufacturer, which will take about 3 weeks total (since they'll send me a box, and then I'll have to send my laptop to them to replace the HD).
3) And then when I get my laptop back, I have to watch some animu and mango. I've been meaning to get to watching "Tiger & Bunny" for AGES (I've heard it's good and to be honest, I don't think I've seen such an onslaught of porn for one fandom since "Axis Powers Hetalia"), and asdf.
4) And then school. And then work. And thenqewyuireyuiwqyoruewqyruioewyorqeyuoiryequio
