Well, not quite. My running shoes are blue, though.
So, if you know me, I used to run track in high school. (In fact, I still have my high school's record in the 400m hurdles, I think.) After I went to MIT, though, and my finances fell through the floor, I stopped. And I haven't really been exercising that much for a while - I mean, I walk around a lot of places (which thankfully gives me some exercise), but I don't go running. And I also figure that if I don't go jogging soon, my ass will explode sooner or later.
So I decided to start jogging tomorrow morning. My midterm goal is to do a short-ish loop - from my apartment to North Arlington (across the river; Belleville's on the Passaic, and my apartment is just up the hill), back to Lyndhurst, across the bridge to Nutley, and back. It's about...4 or 5 miles, I think. It's not too far. (I mean, shit, MIT warmups used to be through BU, and that was 3 miles.)
For now, I'm just starting small. I think I'm just going to go down to Subway, down the hill, and back up. That's about a mile or so.
Part of my lack of motivation was my lack of exercise clothes. Got a pair of running shorts and a microfiber long-sleeve, though, so I should be good.
