It's worse if you read this rant, which specifically mentions that possibility.  (Disagree with it if you will, but the portrayal of New Orleans is...way too spot-on for comfort.)

You know, just yesterday on the news they were saying something about 9/11. And I looked at my sister and said "They aren't actually still talking about terrorism, are they?"
