I don't know you personally, but who randomly posts on their live journal that they don't beleive in God? The only logical explanation for this random outburst is merely for attention. That is extremely unhealthy for your emotions and for yourr inner spirit whether you want to beleive that your inner spirit is your conscience or from God. St. Augustine says that "He who denies the existence of God has some reason for wishing that God did no exist." I have no idea about your life or what you have gone through, but something disturbing must have happened to you for you to again randomly outburst on your live journal about it. Your argument now may be that you posted your feelings on the journal. "That's what journals are for." But what you need to examine is if they truly are your feelings. Like I said, I dont know alot about you, but I do know because someone told me, you went to a Catholic school. You cannot sit in the presence of God, which I know you did because you went to a Catholic school, and not be changed. It sounds to me that this post is your attempt at trying to be honest with a person you are trying to be to impress someone else. That obviously is not the real you, it is merely the you that you want others to see. And maybe just maybe if people think of you in this way, they might associate you with a specific crowd. And if they associate with this speicifc crowd it will make you feel better about yourself. What you need to think about and ponder is where you are right now in your life. It sounds to me that you are either attached to someone or something, or that you see other people who you artive to be attached to someone or something. The real question is, do you really know who you are? You and your so called beleifs do not sound genuine. Let me make myself crystal clear and say that I am not saying all of this because you disagree with me. I am saying this because I am concerned that you are putting a false impression that people are going to see you as before you truly find yourself. I challenge you look deep within yourself and deep within God because one can only find himself through the Lord.
Signed,
a concerned Christian

Yeah...not to start anything on here, because Ive had countless, endless debates with people like you, but i was raised a christian, and i believed in it blindly until i was 15.
When i was 15 i started actually thinking about and paying attention to what was being taught in church and all that
It was then that i realized how ridiculous it all was.
I started having doubts about christianity, and all religions for that matter.
It was for that reason that I decided to call myself agnostic, because that it what I have found myself to truely be.
I chose to be agnostic, most people simply follow the beliefs taught to them when they are growing up. The same things their parents believe in.
If you had been born a muslim, you wouldnt be sitting here talking about God.
Why? because you never had a chance to choose your own religion.
You ever stop to think that maybe he'd rather finally admit that he doesnt believe in God than to keep pretending that he does?
People like you think way to much into it.
I dont think its that he wants attention, cause that accusation is bullshit.
Perhaps you should stop and think for a minute.
Maybe hes like me, and hes simply tired of pretending to believe in something that his heart tells him isnt true.
Christians need not be concerned with agnostic or atheist people, or people of any religion.
Although it is the christians nature to press and enforce christianity on members of other religions, I think its time to let people believe what they want.

Okay, I didn't get to put in MY 2 cent's worth yesterday because the electricity died while I was in the middle of this... -.-

For one, Ben did NOT put a whole list of beliefs up that would not be considered "genuine." Instead, he put up something he feels does not exist. There is a difference.

I tell people I am Pagan for possibly the same reason Ben said he doesn't believe in Christianity. I get incredibly tired of people assuming I am a Christian, and get really irritated at cocky Catholics like you who say "Believe in God or you will suffer eternal damnation!!" or... as said around here "You're gonna go to hell!" Either one...

"You cannot sit in the presence of God... and not be changed." I can. It's simple. wait, it does change me. It makes me sick. XP

The only reason WHY I think you are "concerned" is because someone is saying your faith is wrong. You are tyring to prove them right. Catholics tend to do that... Can't you just leave your faith to yourself and be done with it?

Let's just say what we want to say about our OWN beliefs or feelings. I am a Catholic and have now been going to a Catholic school for 12 years. Like I said earlier i really don't care what someone thinks or believes in or any of that as long as they are a good person. What I do care about is someone criticizing my denomination of Christiananity, in other words me being Catholic. That just takes this whole thing too far.

So no one please make judgemental remarks about another persons faith, whether it be Islamic or Muslim or any others because CHANCES are you don't know the faith very well.

All I'm going to say is that I have had bad Catholic experiences. You don't know whether or not I know about it, so don't assume I know nothing.

Always making assumptions... figures.

Okay, before anything else happens, I apologize for saying what I said. I was majorly POed after reading it and went on a war-path of n00b flaming. I apologize for everything I said that may have offended you in any way, shape, or form and I ask for forgiveness.
