Danny leaned back against the side of the hot tub, his hands slowly kneading Lindsay's shoulders. With her help, he'd managed to get the mountain of paperwork done in time for them to enjoy the evening- and that even included the break he took for lunch, when he'd gone down to the park to bring her and Rex lunch. They'd stayed there for awhile,

She raised an eyebrow and snickered as Danny's hands kept making their way down to where the ties on her suit were. "You know, baby, if you don't like the way this bikini looks on me, maybe you shouldn't have bought it for me," she teased.

He laughed, smiling innocently as he began loosening one of the ties. Hey, if he was expected to sit still, the least she could do was let him play. "I love the way it looks on you. I like the way it looks off you, too.. so there's my problem." It was also a good distraction technique, something to take his mind off next weekend while he worked up the nerve to tell Lindsay what he and Flack had decided on. "Your hangover finally go away?"
Reply
"Hangover went away after I ate something. Thank you for bringing lunch to the park, in case I didn't say it earlier. That was wonderful," she said, leaning back against him and stalling his progress. "Rather fond of this suit, you know. Got it for my birthday from a great guy."
Lindsay turned her head and kissed his neck, her hands moving along the sides of his legs. "So, did you ever call Don back?"
Reply
Danny nodded and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against him. "Anytime. It was too nice a day, no need for you to spend it alone. And the suit.. it looks great on you. It's still the wrong team, but that hasn't stopped me, has it?"
Closing his eyes, he kissed her shoulder. "Yeah, I did. He wanted me to know he got time off. And to laugh over the fact you called him Donny." His fingers ran over her stomach before tracing her ribcage. "He's still nervous, but it's not like he's the only one."

"I wasn't entirely alone. I met some people today, and Rex made a friend, too. Had no idea so many people here had dogs." Lindsay smiled, her arms over his. "Like anything could stop you if you didn't want it to, Danny."
She laughed a little. "He was okay with me calling him Donny, then?" She bit her lip and nodded. "No, he's not the only one. But, y'know," Lindsay said and shrugged a little. She shivered slightly at his touch, which still surprised her. When they'd first gotten together, she'd expected it. But now, well, it still caught her off guard when she reacted that way.

He snickered and nodded. "He was okay with it. He also wanted me to tell you that you're entertaining when you're wasted." Wetting his lips, he continued drawing his fingers along her submerged skin. If he could touch her like this forever, he'd be a happy man. "Don's coming up Friday. If you're okay with that."
Reply
She laughed, nodding. "Nothing you haven't told me before. Friday? Friday's good. You need the day off to get him? Can switch you with Shan, if need be."

Grinning, Danny stuck out his tongue at her. "You like hearing it. And yeah, could you? I want to be there when his train gets in." He lowered his voice. "Gotta make sure we hide your Red Sox stuff."
Reply
She shifted slightly so she was sitting across his lap instead of facing away from him. "The Red Sox stuff that you bought me," she said pointedly, sliding an arm around his neck. "So, I shouldn't wear my bikini when he's here? Think we can get him in the pool?"

He laughed and danced his fingers up her thigh, enjoying the new view. He supported her back with his free hand, his eyes narrowing as he watched her. "Hey, you needed something for your first game. And I didn't think a cap would do the trick." Reaching back to the drinks, he offered her a glass with a gesture, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Wear your bikini. We could get him in there, mess around, because he's just as bad as I am. As you are."

Leaning in, Lindsay bit at his lower lip gently. "And I love my stuff. Really." She took her glass and kissed him again before taking a sip from it. "I have another one. Bought it when I was in Boston with Casey last time he was here. Don't think you've even seen that one," she grinned. "And really, I think the two of you would be a little crazy in the pool. I fear for my safety." Totally teasing him, but she did wonder how long it would take either one of them to pick her up and bodily toss her in the pool.

Danny kissed her upper lip, leaning his head against hers. "Good. I'm thinking of calling Kaile and telling her how much I enjoyed her gift." He smirked and prodded his fingers along her leg not-so-gently. "Try it on for me later. And we'll be nice with you. Can't guarantee that we'll be nice to each other, though." He'd never been in a pool with Don, but the idea of it made him grin. And they wouldn't toss Lindsay in the pool, one of them would just scoop her up and jump in with her. Or toss her into the other one's arms, that's all.

"I already thanked her. She asked for pictures. Told her I'd ask you to take some" Lindsay said teasingly.
The images that flashed through her head when she thought of the three of them together made her laugh and frightened her a little bit. "I'm glad he's coming up. I mean, not about the bet. Just in general. Think I might miss him a little bit," she said with a grin and a kiss. "Not like I'd miss you, but you know what I mean."

"Give me a camera, I'll take them. As long as you don't mind me deciding how you're being posed," he said with a hungry smirk, winking at her as he made a mental note to do that sometime this week and forward a pic to Don.
"We all talk beforehand, okay? Decide what's allowed. Or you and I can talk, then I can bring it up with him when I call him." Since Danny still called him every night. Or almost every night. Leaning forward a bit, Danny kissed Lindsay long and slow, getting the images of what's to come out of his head. "I know what you mean. Glad the two of you are becoming friends. Can't tell you what it means to me."

Lindsay raised an eyebrow and looked at him with a grin. "Really? You'd do that? Not like she'd show them to anyone else, so you don't have to worry about that. Although, I worry more about you sending them to Don," she laughed. "And pose me however you want, as long as it's not smutty. Sexy is one thing, but smutty is completely different." And no way was Lindsay ready for smutty pictures. Sure, she was very different now, but that wasn't something she thought she'd ever be ready for.
"Oh, I know we will. It'll all be worked out, to some level." She nodded, sqeaking softly when he kissed her. Lindsay melted into it, her arms making their way around his neck as she turned to face him. "Be very awkward for you if your girlfriend and best friend hated each other, don't you think?" she murmured against his lips as he pulled back. But really, she did like Don. And she was genuinely glad they were becoming friends.

He nodded, his eyes bright behind his glasses as he watched her, licking his lips. "I know it will. Think it'll be fun. And good to have him here." He chuckled softly at her squeak and held her close, whispering. "Too awkward. And I don't plan on losing either of you anytime soon, if that, so you two will just have to bury the hatchet. Plus, he approves of you." Lindsay was stuck with him, with Don. Because he wasn't about to choose between them in case he made the wrong decision. He didn't want that ever happening.
