Danny shivered as he crawled out of bed. God, wasn't it spring yet? He was more than ready for warm weather. Though to be honest, the cold weather was tolerable if it kept a certain someone in the bed with him. It was just the cold drive to work he had problems with. Going outside, swinging a baseball bat or throwing a frisbee, anything to be outside in the sun. Even if inside had its definite benefits. He'd learned to float swim this winter while trying to clear thoughts from his head aka try to stop thinking about Lindsay long enough to do something productive.

He got his stuff together for work, sliding his bag over his shoulder and slipping on his watch before checking his messages. He froze in place as one of them played. Mac? Of all the people he'd heard from since he moved, this was one of the more unexpected... Swallowing hard, Danny saved the message in an attempt to remember to return the call. Tonight, when things were less hectic, he figured. Before he and Montana ended up trying out her new sheets or something.

It wasn't his fault he'd missed the call, either. His phone had somehow managed to get itself turned off while he was teaching Lindsay the finer points of one of his video games, and then he'd hadn't had time to check messages.

The message would stay in the back of his mind all day. Mac intimidated the hell out of him. Ever since Danny's fall from Mac's good side... but He could handle calling him back. Knew he could. After work.
