The world is pissing me off, maybe I should menstruate soon.
People who don't 'get' the day of silence are, i feel, very ignorant and should fucking try it themselves. It's not to prove this huge point, it's not to be SEEN AND RECOGNIZED. It is to show solidarity, and for most people I know, a way to experience the way so many people in the LGBTQAAI are silenced. Stop assuming we're trying to make change. Stop assuming we have to make change just by doing something. Some things you do for yourself. You go to church to better your faith. You read books to expand your mind. You go to Grinnell to better yourself. I participated in the Day of Silence to better myself and show support for so many of my friends who were/are, especially at my high school, silenced.
P.fuckingS: it's not LGBTicantremember the rest....it's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Asexual, Ally, Intersex. There are letters for a reason. You can't just ignore all the other fucking letters.
The more I procrastinate, the more angry I get at Grinnellians who think they can be such pretentious pricks.
