Beware, squee and some flailing ahead! - as well as major abuse of emoticons... ;)
Also, my Merthur love is showing; plus theories about Merlin's shirt (IDEK)...
I have a few complaints directed at the writers... but overall:
This was a great ep! \o/
(
There are pics and GIFs to look at too! :D )
Haha XD You're so right about this:
""Shouldn't we explain why Merlin now only has violet shirts?" And the other just responds: "Na, why bother? Some fan will come up with an explanation." Hm, makes me think that's their policy for every plot-hole..."
Now a little "Merlin Fandom 101":
- it's Merthur, as opposed the Arwen - which I personally think is a crappy ship name cuz it's already a character name of a different (but big!) fandom
- no known last name, however if there's a need for one in fan fiction, it's often "Emrys" (sometimes a modification like Emmerson)
- Well it's actually an old!Merlin. "Dragoon" might overact it sometimes (e.g. when he wants Arthur to carry him and kick him like a horse, LOL) but when he changed the very first time, I remember him saying something about being stiff and lame or something, and Gaius responded "Now you know how I feel"!
I can't imagine Agravains with Morgana either, she'll just continue using him (and maybe his feelings for her) to her needs.
Apart from Gwen/Lancelot, I do like reading Gwen/Morgana in fanfic (as a secondary pairing)! :) There's quite a bit out there (certainly as the main pairing too), so if you're looking for a new ship... ;) It was easier in the earlier seasons though, when they were still both a court.
- I'd recommend a fanfic which I read not long ago that was just HILARIOUS - modern AU, and they're producing an animated show about dragons - Morgana/Gwen (Morgwen?) was the side pairing but it was just a BRILLIANT read! ^^
Title: No Business Like Show Business
Summary: In which Merlin is promoted from production intern to talent, is easily mortified, and has Post-It arguments with Arthur while the art department watches in glee. Also, there are gay dragons.
