You're My Fucking Hero
Friday was my suprise 18th birthday party. I actually had no idea was quite shocked to see 30+ (exaggeration?) people yell suprise when I walked in. It was refrshing though. I had previously ruminated on having a Gatsby-esque celebration of my coming to age but was too lazy to work it out. Thanks mom! and Katie! and Peter! My parents really liked the volcano people made me. It was a re-creation of our escape from the Phillipines. Quite exciting. Kit gave me my own book (The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway) and Niff gave me a Buddhist statue, which is fitting. Though I'm agnostic, Buddhism is a lot easier to accept than Chrisitanity.
School starts Sept. 26. People were wondering why I'm not going to LW. I actually did consider it for a while. But, I think I need to finish up my A.A. That includes taking as many classes I can with Oakley, becuase who knows if I'll find another professor of her caliber. Guess I'm missing out on "the highschool experience." Will I regret it? Who fucking knows. Oh well.
gah, I need to spend less time here. Damn internet. I should be reading. well, cya in a bit.
