Well, you'll all be happy to note (or you won't care in the slightest) that I have moved all of my things into storage and am now at my mother's.
It was a very long, sometimes very stressful day today. I think the worst of it was when I went to check-out and I mentioned to my RA (who is an idiot and didn't remember who I was) that the handle from my shower was missing and that I had mentioned it to the cleaning lady over a week ago and nothing had happened since then. Well, he sayd that I need to speak to the head of Maintenance bc otherwise I (and the other 3 roommates) could be charged for it. Meanwhile mom is out waiting by the U-Haul and all of my food is melting in the car...needless to say I wasn't exactly a happy camper. To make this story a wee bit shorter...the problem was resolved and we were on our way.
The funniest event happened at the storage unit. The guy helping me was this really funny redhead (hehe) and he was signing for a package...the guy asks him his last name and he goes "G.A.Y." and I start giggling like mad. I felt SO bad for laughing at the guy but he starts laughing too and says that he's always gotten crap for his name. Then mom and I follow him to the unit and mom is trying to back up the truck and she's almost taking out the entire building and he and I are laughing/yelling at her to cut the wheel and she's all like, "Huh? Whaaaa?" I love my mom but she's a HORRIBLE driver.
WELL I'm just glad that this day is over. I hate moving...and I brought my computer here bc my CPU is better than mom's and then I set it up and realize that it won't work here cause she has dial-up and her old CPU is set up to run for this network...so I had to completely take mine out and reset hers up...I should have just put it in storage...ah I'm an idiot.
I'm really happy that I'm going to have some time to just sit around, watch tv, sleep a lot, and most importantly READ. I brought a buttload of books here to keep me occupied and as of right now I'm almost finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It gets better each time I go back through it, I swear. Anyway I'm crazy tired and I still have to get the rest of the bags out of the car so I can brush my teech and all that rubbish.
Another funny note...I ordered my mom an Alice in Wonderland watch and had it delivered here. I had her open it earlier...and she opens it and busts out laughing. Turns out she just got the exact same watch! Great minds really do think alike!!! PS That's totally creepy btw.
Here's a picture just cause I can. :o)
Harry Potter is just too awesome for words!! :oD
