Why can't everyone get along?

Why does the color or background of someone matter? My parents are never going to understand that. I have grown to form my own opinion on this subject and unfortunatley my parents don't agree with it at all.

I wish I wasn't so distant from them anymore. It's sad how we are suddenly so far from them. I could cry.
