first days of school are always the worst
my first day of school has just begun. i got here early cause i had to ride with nix cause the STUPID MAIL lost my parking permit. so yea...now i'm just spending some quality time in the library. my schedule looks a little something like this
9.30 - 10.45 = women in literature
11.00 - 12.15 = natural disasters (with lizet)
12.30 - 1.45 = international health (with nix)
2.00 - 3.15 = social ethics
(only on thursdays) 4.00 - 6.40 = women law and policy
so yea..i'm doing the whole tuesday thursday bit again. it works out good cause then i have the other days to work and stuff. but yea, you wouldnt think i'm a political science major since i'm not taking any political science classes but how can i take them when THEY ARE ALL FULL?!?! so yea, that puts me in a bit of a predicament. but oh yes, back to my story about this morning...
so nix and i are driving down montezuma when all of a sudden there are a million cars. now i guess we should've figured that because everyone gets there early on the first day..but whatever, it's early and we weren't really thinking. then nix realizes it's like 7.40 and she has class at 8 and the parking structure by her class is normally full at like 7 in the morning..so she gets a little panicky and starts yelling at the other cars. it was quite amusing yet i felt her pain all at the same time. then i went to take a sip of my diet dr. pepper and of course i spill it all over myself. but anyways, we finally make it into the structure and the parking guy tells us to turn right and BAM!! there it is..one of the best spots i've ever seen in my life. i don't know how we got so lucky. nix said it was cause i spilled soda on my shirt..so i told her i was glad that my shirt could serve as a sacrifice for our spot. then we get out of the car and start walking towards campus when that parking guy looks at us and winks. um eww! he was this old gross wrinkly man. it was disturbing. then we turn the corner and this other parking guy that looks like he just went through puberty looks at nix and goes "stop!" (holding his out hand) "you are way too hot to just pass me by." and then nix looks at him as if he is a mental patient and we keep walking. then she looks at me and goes "and this morning just keeps getting weirder." it sure is. so then i get onto campus and see this girl i used to go to high school with that i haven't seen since graduation. it was strange. and now i'm in the library passing the time until my class starts at 9.30.
this past weekend i went to SANTA BARBARA!! it was amazing! it was one of the most fun weekends of my life. i wish i was still on vacation cause school sucks. at least i have two classes with friends. and i made my schedule so i can't work on thursdays so i'll be able to watch the OC every week. that's tight. i went grocery shopping last night. yea, i spent a little more than i usually do. but i had to buy a lot of one-time things..like ketchup and foil and stuff like that. but still..it put a pretty big dent in my bank account.okay well, i'm gonna go to the bookstore and see if they have my philosophy book. peace out.
