You ain't hittin my machines! :P
http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/viruses/worms/conficker.mspx Good thing I have Linux on my PC's. Apple PC's won't be affected, unless they're running a poorly maintained Windows 2000/XP/Vista install on an Intel Mac. At least some of the sites I go to (other than LJ) probably won't be affected, as they run on Linux software (like sevenstring.org YAY!!! :)) Hmm... I wouldn't be surprised if myspace, for instance, reports some crashes tomorrow through various reports, though it should be well protected now. (myspace uses Microsoft server software to run their servers.)
Interestingly enough, I can't seem to find my 4 gig USB drive... and I cleaned out my house last week... ha. That's one of the easiest ways to spread conficker, by the way. Using an unchecked portable drive, that is.
EDIT 1:41 AM, 4-2-2009: Found the USB drive. It was in my laptop case... silly me. avast! (antivirus app) found two files that looked suspicious. Nuked them, then reformatted the drive.
