Summary: Sungmin wakes up because of the lightning outside and is petrified by it. Will he finally conquer his fear alone? Or Kyu will help him overcome it.
It is past midnight and at the upper dorms Leetuek, Heechul, Siwon, and Shindong are in peaceful slumber even if the storm is raging outside, unaffected by its thunderous lightning. Meanwhile on the lower dorms, Eunhyuk and Donghae sneaked out of their bedroom to watch some television. It sets an eerie glow as the main source of light is coming from the TV alone. The two were watching Alien Night on the National Geographic channel. Hae was like a child as curiosity was spelled all over him as he watches the show, Hyukkie was just there beside his lover supportive as he looks at the television with a smitten glaze obviously happy at being able to make his fishy watch his favorite thing on TV. Ryeowook and Yesung was fast asleep. Wookie being hugged by Yesung lovingly as they both snooze off to rest.
Sungmin was the only person awake in their room, and the aegyo prince looks over to Kyu’s bed asleep as he unconsciously breathes in and out. The storm is in full blast as big heavy droplets of water hits their window and the night was engulfed by pitch darkness due to the rainclouds. And then suddenly Kaboom! A huge lightning strikes out the night sky and Sungmin was getting very afraid by each moment that passes by. He was starting to shiver and get teary eyed as thunders follow the lighting. He snuggled Mr. Bunny closer as teardrops starts to roll on his face. Ever since he was a little boy Sungmin was always afraid of thunderstorms and his mother will always comfort him with a hug and they would sing.
“Rain rain, go away. Come again another day. Little Sungmin wants to play. Rain rain. Go away”
Since Kyuhyun was asleep he didn’t want to wake him. So Sungmin just hid his face under the covers and silently prayed that the storm will be over soon. Then suddenly something stroked his head. He was surprised and saw Kyuhyun kneeling at his bedside. Looking at Kyu’s eyes being comforted by him took all of Minnie’s worries. The maknae stroked his hyung’s head one again.
“Sungmin hyung, you know that you can always wake me when you’re scared.”
“But Kyu, you were already asleep I didn’t want to disturb you.”
“It’s just sleep. You are more important to me. Are you okay now?”
“Yes I am because of you. I’m sorry KyuBear.”
“It’s okay Minnie. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“Now would you please move so I can sleep in there with you too?” asked a sleepy Kyuhyun as a smile lazily stretches over his mouth.
At that Sungmin chuckles as he moves to the side to let Kyuhyun occupy the other side of the bed. As a gift to Kyu, Minnie kissed the maknae briefly on both cheeks.
“Goodnight Kyu.”
The maknae then placed his arms around Min’s waist and pulled him closer.
“Goodnight Hyung.”
