[The Dreamberry recording registers the bleep of touch tone keys.]
Sis's number is gone.
[He leaves that matter at that. He doesn't know the implications of a number disappearing from the contact list just like that. He figures he must've accidentally deleted it. The button-pressing stops.
A pause.]Has anyone been to the caverns beneath that

And the caverns are being patrolled by police now unfortunately. You'd have to find a way to sneak past them.

I'd like to believe that she wouldn't leave without me-- and I can say for certain she wouldn't leave without you.
Reply
You know my sister. Do I know you? [Because this guy seems to know a lot about Seiji and Namie that Seiji hasn't told anyone here.]
Reply
Wow, she's never even mentioned me? How cold. I'm Izaya Orihara. She's my secretary. [ but even if she wasn't, he would know those things, right? because she's involved with something important to him, too. ]
Reply
[Wait. Secretary? That doesn't make sense.] You're lying. She's in charge of the sixth division of our family's pharmaceutical company.
Reply
Yagiri Pharmaceuticals was dissolved when it merged with Nebula. She came to work for me.
Reply
[What kind of nonsense is this guy talking?] Nebula's been working towards the merger, but it hasn't happened yet. [A brief pause, before he continues in a lower voice.] What are you gaining from lying to me? I don't know you.
Reply
There's nothing I have to gain by lying [ this time ]. You do realize that not everyone is running on the same timeline here. Regardless, Namie-san and I -- and you as well -- hold one great common interest, so that we know each other well should come as no surprise.
Reply
Same timeline? [More nonsense. He hasn't talked with the other people from Ikebukuro enough to realize this. But more importantly...] What would that be?
Reply
[ it's probably not worth explaining, so he'll just skip to the juicy part. ]
The. Head. [ as if that could mean anything but one thing. ]
Reply
[Wait.
Did this guy just mention--
FILTERED]
What do you know about her and how?!
Reply
[ a quick chuckle ] Probably more than you could ever hope to.
As for how, I thought I had mentioned that much already-- it's something Namie-san and I both have an interest in.
Reply
[Growls under his breath.] I've loved her ever since I was a child. Don't you dare underestimate my love for her!
Reply
[ to put it bluntly ] I sell information. Your sister and your family's company are clients of mine. They used illegal immigrants to conduct experiments on and I so kindly provided them with names. You just learn about these kinds of things in my line of work, you see. I learned about the details of those experiments and grew interested in learning more.
Love? I wouldn't underestimate a thing like that but I'm afraid it's not a feeling I have much familiarity with, especially for a disembodied head let alone a person. [ though you'd think a guy who claims to love the human race as a whole would understand strange love so maybe he's just being snide. ]
But in return, don't underestimate just how much I know and how much I can find out.

[Then the rest of what this other guy says starts to sink in.] Sis and the company did that stuff? That doesn't have anything to do with pharmaceuticals at all. [Namie would always be family and Seiji wouldn't forget that, but to hear that she was involved in illegal activity? Maybe he ought to be more cautious around his older sister. If, of course, any of what's been said is even true.] Why are you so interested in her if you think she's just a "disembodied head"?
