[A shocked gasp. Forget the caverns for now.] Gone?! But how did she escape so quickly? She must've found an exit I missed. [A scoff.] I knew there had to be a way out of here! Then I can be with her again back home...

People disappear from this place without warning quite frequently. It's not the first time I've seen it happen.

Unfortunately no. At least not that anyone is aware of. Of course everyone is looking for ways to leave but that doesn't mean there are any to be found. [ and like he told Namie, he would try harder if he cared to leave. ]

No, it really doesn't. Someone will have to find the way out as you say. But if those tunnels hold the answer to finding it, then things become a bit more tricky.

Yagiri Pharmaceuticals was dissolved when it merged with Nebula. She came to work for me.

No, because like I said, they're being patrolled by police. How much of a scene are you willing to cause?

There's nothing I have to gain by lying [ this time ]. You do realize that not everyone is running on the same timeline here. Regardless, Namie-san and I -- and you as well -- hold one great common interest, so that we know each other well should come as no surprise.

I'd really rather not. [By that he means, he'd have to be super-sneaky and stealthy to get past the police.] Is there no way to get permission to go? I'd let someone accompany me if I had to. [Which for safety's sake would be a good idea anyway, but it'd also mean less freedom to explore as he pleases.]

I'm not certain. You'd have to speak with someone with authority over it. I'm not sure whether that's a possibility or not but it's certainly worth looking into.

[All this talk about his sister. Is this one of those underground guys she might have connections with? The ones Seiji's been wary of coming in contact with?] The only people who know about her are Sis, her underlings, and me.

You just learn about these kinds of things in my line of work, you see. I learned about the details of those experiments and grew interested in learning more.

Love? I wouldn't underestimate a thing like that but I'm afraid it's not a feeling I have much familiarity with, especially for a disembodied head let alone a person. [ though you'd think a guy who claims to love the human race as a whole would understand strange love so maybe he's just being snide. ]

But in return, don't underestimate just how much I know and how much I can find out.

[Then the rest of what this other guy says starts to sink in.] Sis and the company did that stuff? That doesn't have anything to do with pharmaceuticals at all. [Namie would always be family and Seiji wouldn't forget that, but to hear that she was involved in illegal activity? Maybe he ought to be more cautious around his older sister. If, of course, any of what's been said is even true.] Why are you so interested in her if you think she's just a "disembodied head"?
