We waste so much time

We focus on things
that just aren't important
talk ourselves out of decisions.

We try to juggle everything
cram our social calendars full
spend evenings glued to phones.

We miss out on the little things
a relaxing meal
a beautiful sunset.

We ignore our dreams
believing they are unattainable
or not worth pursuing.

Life is short
we only get one shot
so we should shoot for the moon

and beyond

while we still have that chance.
