Logain never knew much of peace. He was born into a world torn by war. The Orlesians never were kind to his people. From an early age the atrocities they had committed against his family. He could see the corpses of the men that had died in the rebellion. Good men, loyal men. Men who had families that he had lived beside for years that were ended

I'm not really familar with the cannon that this references, but I enjoyed the cadence of the lines and thought it was well-written, and evocative in it's simplicities.
