Event Post 21 - Cliffside Angst

*The sun is setting over the island and Juudai can be seen sat on part of a cliff, just down the dirt road from Osiris Red. It's sunset by this time and the sky is a beautiful mix of orange, red and yellow. Juudai watches the calm ocean in front of him for a while before looking down at his deck that he has fanned out in his hands

*A Johan approaches! Ruby is on his shoulder and he seems to be smiling, but his body language seems to scream discontent and worry. OHAI YUBEL!*

*And Ayu's with him! Hi Juudai-nii! :D*

*Juudai feels their presence. He looks up and looks around at them, giving them a small smile when he sees them.
Yubel is hanging back a little further away, pretty much just leaving things alone for now*

*Johan kneels down next to Juudai, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder.*

*Ayu does the same on the opposite side Johan's on*

*Juudai looks at Johan, then at Ayumi, then back at his deck in his hands. He keeps the small smile on his face*

I will be, eventually... just wish I could figure all this out.

...Really, I wish I knew the magic words to make everything right for you again, but it's never that easy, unfortunately. You worked so hard to get this far in your life, and if you feel like you're just losing it again...

*Johan trails off, honestly unsure what to finish with. He shifts positions to sit at Juudai's side in a casual posture.*

*Chaos appears behind Ayumi. And gasp, he actually looks a little sheepish! XD Run! j/k*

*Juudai nods at Johan's statement*

It just feels wrong. I can't give people a fun time in a duel if I'm not enjoying it myself, but I'm finding it hard to really see and feel the fun these days.

*Juudai then looks up at Chaos*

Don't worry, that's not what's got me down.

It sounds like you're really in a slump... dueling over and over again probably isn't going to cure that, though. I wish I knew what would, but...

*Johan frowns.* ...It's times like these when it feels like nothing's ever going right, and that nothing ever will go right, huh?

*Ayumi then pulls a package of cookies out of her bag*

Um... who wants cookies? :D; *Yes, she's trying to lighten the mood XD*

Ah. I keep wondering if I'll stay like this and never really get the same feeling back for it I once had.

Uh... Juudai looks at Ayumi and smiles as he takes a cookie from her. He nibbles on it a bit* Thanks.

I doubt that. Most of the time, dry streaks like the one you're having are just temporary, even if they seem pretty long-lived.

*Johan smiles slightly, also taking a cookie.* ...I guess... you just have to keep trying.

*Ayu nibbles on a cookie*

Yeah, I've been hoping the feeling would just come back, but it seems to of gotten worse lately. It almost feels like a part of me is missing because of it. I want to find it, but I don't know why it's gone in the first place.

*Johan is silent, trying to think of something to say after that. Knowing that telling Juudai what everyone else has likely told him won't help, he just kind of smiles sadly until he can come up with something.*

...It's really hard to keep going if you feel like a piece of you is gone, and you can't even describe it. As though you were carrying the world on your shoulders, but decided one day that you didn't ask for this burden, nor do you want it... so you choose to set it down and walk away.

If only that were possible to leave it behind like that, though; to stop the world from moving ahead of you, even if just for a little while.

*He sighs.*

I feel bad that I don't know what to do for you, though. It makes me feel awful seeing you like this.
