I tend towards the cooler colors myself--gun metal gray at the moment.

You are so right--jewelry is an easy way to have fun with color and such while still sticking to the easy wardrobe. I love looking at jewelry, although I don't own much of it. There's so much out there--it's hard to choose! Would be fun to make jewelry someday....

Sending my daughter to school last year was like sending her to war. She is a highly sensitive, introvert. Needs her alone time, gets overwhelmed by large groups. She has had health problems throughout her life (apparently a developing autoimmune disorder), so school was just wiping her out in the worst way. She also has auditory processing problems and short term recall problems (we did educational testing), although she is very bright in other ways. She completely shut down at school, and would barely talk. She never knew what was going on because she wasn't processing what the teacher was saying quickly enough. And the teacher's classroom management strategies were scaring the crap out of her, so that she was afraid to even ask to go to the bathroom. Although she had friends, she was getting targeted by bullies who could tell she was vulnerable.

Sorry, that was long! Clearly, it was a big mess. She is so happy now though. She is enjoying learning and making friends from homeschooling groups as well as maintaining her old school friendships. People keep telling us how happy she looks.
