I fucking hate summer. I sweat, and I gotta sunscreen my pasty ass every half hour. I'm built for wearing layers and burrowing under blankets. Give me a good blizzard over this damn heat.
But the one thing I love about summer are the storms. hell to the yes.
I started watching New Girl today, and I'm in love with it. Zooey Deschanel is so adorable, it's sort of beyond me how they put glasses on her and try to pass her off as anything other than completely gorgeous. Like, yeah, no. But she's also hilarious, and she totally reminds me of my favorite supervisor at work, with the random musical moments and the awkward dancing. So delightful.
I feel depressingly adult-like today. I applied for life insurance, I renewed my license (which expires when I turn 26 in a couple weeks), and I had to look into getting an independent health insurance plan, since I'll no longer be able to stay on my parents' plan after my birthday. Being an adult is lame, and it also costs a lot. I don't make enough money to cover all this shit and pay my loans off on an acceptable timetable. This birthday is kind of bumming me out already.
