So its official, ference is going to the Oilers. which makes me happy for a lot of reasons:
1) its his hometown, and the team he grew up watching, which, awwww
2)i think he can really make a difference there. They've got all these young stars, but they're still trying to figure out how to make it work. And most of the dmen are real young. He'll be in a mentoring role, which he's great at, and he has a chance to help this 'rebuilding' finally take off.
3) i already really like the oilers, so cheering for him there will be super convenient. I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH NEXT SEASON'S OIL CHANGE.
I'm still really upset that he's leaving boston, but this is the best consolation, i guess. I can't wait till the bruins play the oilers next season, i will be there rocking my ference jersey.
