do you remember when I first got into this hockey nonsense? and I was like PENSPENSPENSPENSOMGPENS. but somehow when I wasn't paying attention my heart became 1000% Bruins, I can't even deal with all my fucking feelings about them. I HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED A PENS GAME IN WEEKS, BECAUSE THEIR SCHEDULE CONFLICTS WITH THE BRUINS. what the shit.

but also, Kaner. omg. It kind of caught me off guard how much I love him, because when I first heard about that pairing I thought Toews would totally be my guy, you know, because apparently stoic and Canadian is my type, not douchey and hot-mess-y. BUT NO. FUCKING KANER, RUINING ME.

but somehow when I wasn't paying attention my heart became 1000% Bruins: THIS FILLS ME WITH JOY. Not because I don't love the Pens (because I do, like I'm obsessed with Pascal Dupuis) but because I love the Bruins so much. I think it's because I have so many feelings FOR SO MANY OF THEIR TEAM. Like Marchy and Bergie and just--CHARA. I can't find it in myself to stop loving them. I'm so glad they're your team. Do they do a convention like the Hawks do? BECAUSE YOU SHOULD GO.

Kaner: he's sneaky. When I first started in the pairing, I was like TAZER. YOU ARE PERFECT. WHY DO YOU LOVE PKANE? But it's just--maybe it's his mouth--Kane has got this quality about him that the world falls in love with. It's the curls. It's his beautiful hockey hands. Then you pair him with Jonny, the ultimate hockey Canadian and I can't stop. Like, my life is Tazer/Kaner and hockey and Blackhawks and Bruins/Penguins (because they are without a doubt my Eastern Conference teams). And hockey is the only reason I am surviving post-college life. The only reason.

I think it's the sassiness. I don't even know anything about PK is real life (like, nothing), but in fic he is the fucking sassiest motherfucker and I love it. (idk if that's even the word I'm looking for? BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) But he's also, like, adorably immature and childish sometimes? IDK, FOR SOME REASON THAT COMBINATION JUST DOES IT FOR ME. (but it's also totally his mouth because fml, seriously)

WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN THERE IS NO HOCKEY? THAT IS LIKE 3-4 MONTHS WHERE MY LIFE WILL BE EMPTY. I can't imagine if I had become a fan last year and had to suffer through that lockout, I would have lost my shit by November.
