a mishmash of hockey recs
Today was shit-tastic. Work was super busy, and I thought my cold was almost gone, but I spent most of the day feeling dizzy and headachey and just all around achey. Idk. I feel ok now, so hopefully I was just overtired.
BUT. As always, the Penguins make everything better.
I got home in time to catch the end of the game vs the Islanders tonight and HOLY CRAP, BOYS. Goal for Nealsy, 2 for Duper, a fucking hat trick for Kuni, and 5 fucking assists for Sid. Be more amazing, guys, seriously.
The only downside is that Geno didn't play tonight. No word on how serious his shoulder injury is, or when he might be back. They just released a tweet saying he'll be out 1-2 weeks MY POOR BABY D: I need epic amounts of h/c fic to make it all ok.

JKDFNSKDKSBKJBNJFSD I can't find words strong enough to rec this fic. It's basically everything I wanted. They are both just ridiculously adorable with the baby, but in a completely realistic way, where there are challenges and learning curves, but they're both just so smitten. UGH MY HEART. And the romance develops alongside the baby plot, as they slowly become a family and just hdjkshfksd god. Like, I want to vomit rainbows right now, I feel so warm and fuzzy inside. UGH BOYS.

My only complaint is that I wish this was 1000x longer. For such a short little story, it does a great job building this AU, I could totally picture it all. For some reason it just works and I want lots of stories about compsci student Geno befriending feral animals, ok?

The requisite best friends become fuck buddies become lovers story. Super sweet and cute and they're just kind of adorably douchey and silly and everything I love about them.

Hilarious and adorable. Everyone on the team thinks they're in a relationship, because they basically act it by being adorable and handsy and clingy all the time. Nuge fits perfectly into their dynamic here, I totally buy the three of them together. Epically adorable.
