Tonight's game. Was pretty awful. I mean, we score 3 in the first, and then we basically hand it over to the Caps. THE CAPS. GUYS, THEY ARE STILL PRETTY TERRIBLE. Even if they're no longer dead last. Our PK was pretty awesome, but that's about it. COME ON, GUYS, HOW COME EVERY TIME DOUGIE GETS A GOAL YOU HAVE TO RUIN IT WITH A LOSS?
But also. ALEXANDER OVECHKIN. STOP TRYING TO RUN OVER TUUKKA, YOU JERK. I still have a ridiculous soft spot for you, Ovie, but STOP TRYING TO HURT MY BABY.
I understand, the first two times he may have had a helpful little shove into the goal. But that last one. HE BASICALLY RAN TUUKKA OVER LIKE AN 18 WHEELER, THAT IS NOT OK. DID YOU SEE HIS LITTLE FACE? I have all these protective feelings towards goalies, because they stay in their little zone and do their thing, away from all the fights and the checking. THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO GET TRAMPLED BY BIG BLUNDERING RUSSIANS. I swear, if he is anything but 100% ok I will hate Ovie forever. And hope Chara beats him up the next time they meet.
Which brings me to my next topic of Bruins feels: BIG Z. GOOD LORD. I may have kind of a ridiculous crush on this giant? Mostly because of the way he stands up for his little cubs like a ferocious mama bear. THE HABS GAME THE OTHER NIGHT, WHEN HE TOOK EMELIN OUT FOR DARING TO CROSSCHECK SEGS. He earned every one of those 17 minutes. BITCHES BETTER LEARN.
and then after the game all the guys defended him because THEY ARE A TEAM THAT LOOKS OUT FOR THEIR OWN. GOD, THIS IS WHAT I FUCKING LOVE ABOUT THE BRUINS. maybe all hockey teams are like that, but with the Bs it's such a violent, visceral thing. And it's so very Boston. UUUUUUUGH SO MANY FEELINGS. MAMA BEAR CHARA FOREVERRRRRRRRR.
(also, I find him very weirdly attractive. weirdly. but definitely attractive. hockey is totally fucking with my perceptions of attractiveness.)

ok, I think that's it. I don't have a lot of fandomy feelings about the Bs, and I don't ship any (except for Segs with Tyler Brown, because they're obviously already married). So sometimes I'm not expecting all of these ~feelings that bombard me. I should probably know better by now. hockey is never just hockey.
In other news, I think I am getting a cold :/ of course the cure for this is spending all day tomorrow resting. in bed. catching up on hockey vids.
