Pens update (what else?)
So first, the bad news: it's confirmed that Geno has a concussion, or at least concussion symptoms? According to official team tweets, he had some short-term memory loss, which sounds scary, but it's clearing up? In any event, he's not going to be playing he next 3 roadtrip games, but at least he was well enough to be at the game tonight, to stare soulfully at Sid in the locker room while the rest of the team celebrates. No, seriously (they're trying to kill me, I swear).
But then the great news: BEAU SCORED HIS FIRST NHL GOAL!
Aw, he's just too adorable. In the interviews he was all smiley and excited but trying to act all serious and 'let's just focus on the next game.' Too presh. And the assists came from Sid and Tanger, you can't ask for a better first goal! They were all so excited for him, and APPARENTLY THE GUYS CALL HIM SUNSHINE, GUH, MAH BABIES, I CAN'T DEAL. I love this team sfm.

It wasn't quite right to say that Sid was distracted. Beau wasn't even sure what that would mean -- during practice, Sid was always focused, always on top of things. Set immediately after the 2/24/2012 Pens/Lightning game.
Really sweet little team fic about Sid missing Geno while he's out. Exactly what I needed to deal with all the ridiculous feelings I am having about these boys lately. Just perfect.
