Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!
today was not my best Thanksgiving ever. my stomach has been all out of whack lately, and it chose today to hit me with a full arsenal of cramps and pain. soooo I ate nothing but a few rolls all day, which was a bummer, being surrounded by delicious foods. god, I hate my body so much. I thought I had it under control for a while there, but this whole revolving schedule thing has it all upset again, and I never know when it will act up. CURSE YOU, INTESTINES.
But it was still a pretty good day. we went to my sister's place in Somerville and I got to play with her kitten and watch tv and knit all afternoon. Her roommate's dad regaled us with the highlights of 'Best of Craiglsist' ads. I laughed so hard I cried several times. and then we all watched Christmas Vacation together. not a bad day, all around.
I have to go back to work tomorrow, but then I get Saturday and Sunday off. Sunday we are getting our Christmas tree and doing Thanksgiving Take Two, because my dad just can't have a holiday without cooking his own turkey. hopefully I'll be up for eating properly by Sunday.
But now it is officially time for Christmas music! what are your favorites, everyone?
