Such a pity that even though my mate is here now, there is still no way for me to return to my kingdom.

Unless of course...there's something I missed?

Pity, isn't it? Trapped like rats in a maze... Mazes with considerable amounts of climbing, but mazes all the same.

I rather dislike being compared to a rat, however accurate that analogy might be.

Had I a better one, you can be assured I'd choose something else. Not the most flattering of animals to be compared to, are they? Though not the worst, I must admit.

Oh, but there are always worse things, aren't there?

Of course. For example, if I were to be compared to the undead, why, I might begin to believe something might be wrong.

Let's stick to the subject at hand, shall we?

Ah, yes. The way out. Fairly simple, really. Climb the castle, get to the top, and somehow everything will be better--according to our anonymous friend. Weren't here to see that post were you? I wouldn't be surprised, considering how often the number of people here grows and shrinks each passing day. Here one day, gone the next.

Don't you think that sounds rather...simple?

I never said I believed everything we were told, did I?

It seems likely that you wouldn't believe quite a few things.

Believing everything you hear is a quick way to get yourself killed, in my experience. Or if not killed then in a bad spot of trouble.

It does tend to prove a rather unsavory disposition.

Unsavory isn't quite the word I'd use to describe it, but it'll do.

Perhaps "unintelligent" would be better?

I was leaning more toward "naive," but I'll concede that the two go can go hand-in-hand from time to time.

That assumes that they are merely ignorant.
