CAL-ED/DBC Rally

Aug 07, 2008 00:17

In the month of March-- there were a lot of political activities going on and a lot of changing moments as well. Cal-Ed conference were being hosted semi-annually or something by CSD and CSDR alternatively. Cat Cassidy and I just happen to be volunteering to photograph the wonderful evidence of Cal-Ed Conference in San Ramon in contribution of our work and toward the Deaf Education as well as the DBC Rally rallies against AGBell Conference in Milipitas. These were such a wonderful experience for me as well-- enjoying viewing them!

Dr. Roz was the Keynote speaker and she made many excellent points!

The Panel.

It is just me on the hotel floor in the hallway, lol.

Just being a bit vain of my little feet!

Some woman making her speech in one of the workshop.

Beautiful centerpiece! The theme of this conference is the "Ripple of ASL"! Perfect, eh?

Cute cute, Clare Cassidy's son was giving himself the speech lesson- YELLOW!

Ms. Mockus! My all-time favorite teacher during my Middle School days! She won some award during the conference, congratulation!

The beloved CAL-ED chairpersons! Mrs. Call and Mrs. Malzkhun! They did a very fantastic job!

The beautiful view of the grass and trees alongside the hotel where we rallied.

The kids are the FUTURE.

You see how the elders interact with each other? The woman on the right side were talking to somebody and the other on the left side tugged her elbow to get her attention. Aint our Deaf Culture truly fantastic?!

Yes, give sign language a chance! No, THE CHANCE!

The In Crowd.

Taking pictures of our beloved group, full of supporters.

Part of the group.

Another part.

The whole part.

Rocking it!

Cherish ASL!

David O. Reynolds were making his say.

Another person making a joke.

As he writes-- please but to the conductor.

David Eberwein were saying something about the cops were scared of us at first but later on they were truly impressed with us! Even the hotel management and even the rest of the AGBell people inside!

Making a lecture.

One of AGBell's keynote speaker came out to say his inspiration to the DBC supporters. Very touching.

Even the delegates!

Bonnie Morrsion in her sunglasses with a slight reflection of the bystanders on the platform.

Cute little girl playing with the cute little puppy!

Still playing.

One of the DBC supporters were making his say.

FEEL THE TRUTH!

Kristy were making a impression that everyone should sign on the sheet to COUNT everyone in this RALLY!

Kristy made her say, also, do you notice the list of movements on the back of his shirt? Deaf Movement are the next big thing in HISTORY! We shall overcome.

Cute cute doggie.

Little kids are getting creative.

Creativity is the key to exploration.

Gonna <3 ASL!

Across the street from where I parked my car.

Yup, ripple of ASL came from CAL-ED Conference. Amazing!

Doing some yoga.

Leading the yoga group.

With Kristy.

Gotta love Bob Morrsion! It is good to do this thing to ease him up!

Standing by.

Gathering around once again.

Two of the AGBell Delegates but strong DBC supports came out to give us an update with their horrid experience inside the conference but they made it out alive! *whew.

Another person making his say. Yes, we gathered around.

I love Bunny, the wife of Dr. Henry Klopping- they had been sticking with us for a very long time and I am impressed with they had done for us, the Deaf community. AGBell did not provide any interpreter at all, so Bunny went alongside with 4 other delegates and to interpret for them.

The four actual AGBell delegates but they are actually strong DBC supporters! They just went in as a delegates to see the full loaded conference itself. It was pretty tough for them to go through! We are proud of our brave warriors!
