I'm sorry Fliss, I lied. I will make the obligatory college post.
Wow. I had assumed LJ was dead, then Fliss mentioned it and I decided to come see and BAM It's popular again.
The things I miss most are privacy - oh the ability to climb out of bed half clothed! - and being able to touch people. At Metro I would run around hugging, poking, linking arms, etc. Here I don't know anyone but Kenny and Lurnz well enough to do that. My roommates, while nice are not touchy people.
Other than that, I'm pretty happy here. I've met a handful of people, and between them and Kenny's friends, I know enough people to feel comfertable, yet not so many that I can't escape. I'm inclined tword the nerdy, yet still un-nitched, and that's where I want to be. The only things I miss about home are the bus system, Forrest Park, and the occasionally well stocked kitchen.
Once again I find myself taking the hardest and most challenging workload, but it's nothing I'm not used to. Instead of 3-5 hours of work it's 5-7, but the ammount of time in class is a lot less too. I'm supprized at how short an hour of class can seem.
