Distractions

So I guess I'm not very good at the writing-everyday-in-my-journal thing. But right now I should be studying for finals on Monday and I need all the distraction I can get. I just wrote most of my fic for the winter advent, my first ever. The plot came to me at 4am when I was trying desperately to get to sleep so I could get up early the next day and study (that didn't happen). But I'm pretty happy with the idea. I have to finish editing it but I should probably wait til exams are over. Sigh.

On a brighter note, I experienced my first snow storm! 8 inches of snow! Snow angels! Snowball fights! Actually the snowball fight turned into a huge indoor water war, much to the displeasure of some of the residents on the fifth floor who weren't taking part, since their hallways were soaked by the end. But it was amazingly fun. And the snow is so pretty, everything is so clean looking. Well, was. The day after, all the snow had turned brownish and I kept stepping into puddles when trying to cross the street. And crossing the bridge into Boston was a bit of a nightmare. Worst decision ever. The sidewalks on the bridge weren't cleared and a bus drove by and drenched me with snow. But I learned. I took the bus back.

I'm going home next week! Less than a week! Warm weather! I have to get through my finals first though so I'm going to study. Right about now.

OK now.
