i've been up at home in chicago for a week. i cant believe i never found time to post an entry here. its been incredibly busy, incredibly eventful. i can say with full confidence that this has been the most productive visit home i've had in my 5 year absence. i still didnt get to see my old high school teacher but i saw many friends (my timing was perfect for some as they are unexpectedly leaving themselves), i put many a-mile down on the bike (91. thats about 40 more than i thought i'd end up doing. this trip was intended to be very cycling-heavy but, as i was worried, it didnt quite work out that way. but i still put down some serious miles and got in very good training)

actually, with all that i've accomplished, i cant believe only a week has passed. i hope i can post more on this trip on monday but right now im way too tired and i got a loooong drive ahead of me in the morning....
