Things aren’t what they seem anymore. I stand here now alone waiting. I stare into the fog of lost souls surrounding me. The moon is dead and therefore doesn’t shine on my face nor help light my way back to a place to call home.
In the fog of lost souls there is something that seems so solid passing through looking almost human. And yes, yes it is, it’s you coming through to me. Flashback to when I tried so hard to reach the unreachable star in the sky of what used to be my world. Now back to opening my tired eyes to the unwanted reality of what has now become my life. You stand in front of me face to face, eye to eye; you never were able to look past my eyes.
We couldn’t have been standing there for more than just a few seconds, and during those few seconds I recognize the change going on in your mind showing me through your eyes. And I see it as it’s happening so I let out a scream. Time has corrupted your mind and you can’t feel it can you? I know you can’t, I know it well. I want to run from you at this point but I can’t move, I’m stuck on the ground forcing me to stay standing in front of you. I can’t close my eyes, forcing me to look straight into your changing eyes I was once in love with. I can’t take all of this anymore, enough is enough.
