et tu stereo?

my stereo is broken.it has been since christmas. i've just been in denial. the CD player no longer works. it's just a lil mini shelf system. but it's perfect for me. tiny. light. super easy to put together and take apart. but it's totally broken. which is sad. cuz it has a cassette player. which is why i bought it. because i like to make mix tapes. and i really like to listen to all my old mix tapes that various people have made for me over the years. but they don't make mini-shelfs with cassette decks anymore. for vary obvious reasons. i know i need to suck it up and acknowledge that i'm one of four people in the world still listening to mix tapes. but i like em. and now i'm depressed. cuz i like my cds too. and if i get a new stereo, it won't have a cassette deck. i could try to get a real life grown up stereo. but the parts are expensive. and i'd have to fly jon in from washington d.c. just to put it together for me. i'm not good with wires.

anyone wanna buy some mixtapes? or sell me there awesome old stereo with a functioning cassette deck AND cd player?

why do i insist on grasping so tightly to the stone age?
