nashville - part one
i am in nashville. and i'm writing this on kyla's macbook pro. and i gotta say, i love macs. this thing is the jam. it is sooooo idiot proof. and lord knows i need idiot proof items in my life.
anywho, while kyla sleeps and her cat tries to claw me in the hopes that i'll play with her, i shall write about the one and a half days i have had in nashville.
thursday - got into town and was greeted by rain and 100% humidity. WHOA NAHSVILLE. i came down here for some sunshine. wtf, mate? timmy picked me up and we ran some errands. pepboys, thrift store, costco, and krogers. felt like old times. then we went to his house (which all slants into the middle like a snow cone holder) and we drank his home brew and baked a pretty fucking rad apple pie. which tasted delicious with the jefferson's bourbon he served with it. gotta love that good ole kentucky boy. later, we got the kids together and went out to the family wash for vegetarian shepards pie and high alcohol beers. then, kyla and i went to her house. the new kid that is moving into her house stopped by briefly and i met him. random comes to mind. then kyla and i went to foobar, met up with noli, laura, and scott and played trivia and shark attack. then i went to bed, had my usualy nightmares, and was done with the day.
friday - got up late. loliped about the house with kyla. we made some eggs and toast to help settle the beer tummy. i made pashi the cat a little cat house to play in. then we watched atonement. which was way better than the book ever was. don't argue. sociology major knows her stuff. after atonement, we decided we needed to do something given that it was 4pm and we were still in our pjs. so we did our hair, slapped on some makeup, and put on a cute swanky outfit to motivate ourselves. then we went to cabana and had drinks and hummus with TZ and noli. and oh man, was it great to see TZ. i love that kid and i'm so glad that he and ellen are relocating to chi-town. chicago people look out! ok, so after cabana the four of us wanted dinner so we went to samurai sushi (!) and i got to eat my strawberry and kiwi covered sushi. yay!!! so then, kyla and i were freaking freezing because the temperature dropped like 10 degrees. so we changed, and the met back up with tz and noli at JJ's. had a beer there, then we to HQ's to shoot pool and throw darts. lots of kids came out and it was positively wonderful to see everyone. i've missed you nashville kids.
so it's saturday morning and there is a keg party tonight at kyla's. word.
