Diet Coke with Lime DOES NOT Prevent Cars from Blowing Up.
So, I haven't used this thing in over a year, but seeing as how I just hasd a near-death experience, I think it's time to bring this baby back to life.
I made it back from my amazing trip to Boston around noon yesterday and decided that I missed my boyfriend a whole bunch and was going to drive to good ol' Rochester to see him.
I suppose I should have known that shit was about to hit the fan when the usual four hour journey in my ouchmobile of a car was going smoothly. I made it all the way to Batavia, NY before things went bad. My silly ipod stopped working and i noticed that my dashboard was REALLY fucking hot. Then it started to spark and smoke a lot and I began to panic. There were literally flames all over my car by the radio and I somehow managed to make it off the road without hitting anything. I tried to be a hero and put out the fire with my diet coke [ps- it didn't work]. A trucker also pulled over and scooped me out of my car and used a fire extinguisher to take care of the big flames. A nice marine also pulled over and helped me with the burns on my hand until the fire dep't and police came.
Two fire trucks, an ambulance, a state trooper, 2 regular cop cars and the assistant fire chief all came to the scene and took care of the fact that my poor little car just blew up.
Luckily, I only had minor burns on my hands and right arm and was only treated for smoke inhilation and the burns at the hospital.
Yes, I am lucky to be alive.
Also- smelling like a firecracker is the new black.
